The Rev’d David C. Cobb
Rector
In November 2003, the Rev’d David C. Cobb was unanimously called by the vestry and congregation of Christ Church to serve as the twelfth Rector of the parish, having served as Priest-in-Charge since August, 2002.  Fr. Cobb previously served as the rector of Old St. Paul’s Church in Baltimore, MD and of St. Christopher’s Church in Oak Park, IL. He began his ministry in the Chicago area as Curate for the Church of Our Savior in Lincoln, Park, IL. He has served on the Board of Affirming Anglican Catholicism, USA, for several years. Christ Church serves as the national office for Affirming Catholicism. Fr. Cobb’s experience includes service as Dean of the Oak Park Deanery in Illinois and as President of the Alumni Association of Seabury Western Theological Seminary and as a Trustee of the seminary. He is a life-member of the Society of Mary.
  Fr. Cobb graduated from Seabury Western Theological Seminary in 1983, and he began his active ministry in the diocese of Alabama before serving parishes in the Chicago area. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in English Literature and Music. He enjoys playing piano and organ. Originally from Mobile, AL, Fr. Cobb and his wife, Ruth, are the proud parents of three teenage children, and keepers of a beautiful Labrador Retriever and a very large cat.
